Located at the Coventry Street entrance of the owner’s boulangerie, Chez Dre, Bibelot draws inspiration from a typical French pâtisserie. Upon entry, the retail space features an artisanal pâtisserie, gelateria, espresso bar, chocolate shop and bookshop before moving through to the dining room.
Paying homage to its European roots, the space is infused with art deco, ‘jewel like’ influences. The material palette consists of mosaic tiles, crafted chevron recycled timber floors, plush velvet banquette seating and brass detailing. From the bluestone laneway, a secondary entry through a light court garden is signalled by a steel and brass chevron screen.
Like the pastries, each and every detail reflects the brand ethos — intricacy, opulence and carefully handcrafted creations.
We acknowledge the Boon Wurrung People of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which Bibelot stands. We recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, and culture.
